Good things are afoot down here at Segado Audio! Lots of music making, studio building, and beard growing (as always).
Winter concert season is now upon us, so things are picking up quite a bit. The last month has seen performances from eVoco Voice Collective working their mighty vocal magic on their "Fall Collection" of desert island choir works, as well as Philly's own PhilHarmonia performing "The Undiscovered Country", using World War II as a central theme for their selections.
This next month has us returning to Hofstra for the Chorale & Chamber Choir's winter performance, as well as two weekends in Queens! The first weekend will feature the Sacred Music Society of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, followed by the Oratorio Society of Queens (www.queensoratorio.org) on the weekend after. I'll be bearing witness to some truly amazing music over the next month, and that is always delightful.
We're also doing some upgrades and construction! A fresh set of Neumann KM184s will be joining the arsenal, and work has begun in converting the basement into a recording/mixing space. If you know me, this will not just be any old "basement studio". I'm taking great care into making it a functional and comfortable space to get creative and record properly. I'll be posting pictures as things progress. Very excited about the new space!
