Tim Segado is an audio engineer living in Stratford, NJ. Specializing in recorded audio, he also handles equipment consultation and live sound reinforcement.
A New Jersey native, Tim enrolled in Hofstra University's Music Business program and graduated in 2008. During his time at Hofstra, he held internships at Korg USA, Sony Music Entertainment, and a few local recording studios. Tim also worked closely with music business program coordinator and composer Ken Lampl both in and out of the classroom.
During his time at Hofstra, Tim began offering up his recording services for recitals and graduate audition tapes, as well as working with local acts from Long Island and Philadelphia. These experiences affirmed his love of recording and influenced him in his decision to pursue a degree in Recording Arts from Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL.
Full Sail offered Tim the opportunity to put his previous knowledge to work and try his hand at several different concentrations within the audio industry, ranging from post-production, to live sound, to studio recording. After graduating from Full Sail, Tim immediately jumped into an internship at Walt Disney World. Here he worked in their recording studio in Orlando doing everything from archiving sessions, to recording voiceovers and music beds, to venue mixing new shows in the parks. Tim also assisted in moving the recording studio to it's new home in Hollywood Studios, which allowed his inner studio design geek to have a hand in rewiring and configuring the studio.
After a stint back in Long Island, Tim has relocated back down to glorious South Jersey. While still keeping his appointments in NY, he is looking to grow his presence in the greater Philadelphia area as well.
